Hi, I’m Lisa Raby,
I own Sonoran Sun Pediatric Therapy. A few years after I switched from teaching to focus on helping kids, I started Sonoran Sun. What I enjoy most about my job is witnessing the incredible progress our young patients make and building strong connections with them and their families. When I’m not at the clinic, I love spending time with my husband Michael, who runs Berkshire Diamonds and Design, my three grandkids, relaxing by the pool, traveling, and cheering for the Red Sox.
My name is Melissa McCormick.
I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. I graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Brown Mackie College Occupational Therapy Assistant Program. I feel very blessed to have a career that focuses on helping amazing children develop skills and self-esteem through meaningful and fun activities. I have been working with children my entire life. From helping my mother raise my siblings, helping my aunt with her foster children, being a live-in nanny through my teen years as well as working with children with special needs at my church and for the school district, not to mention raising 2 amazing boys of my own. When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my wonderful husband Paul and my 2 boys Hunter and Blake. I also enjoy playing with my 2 dogs (Jade and Bear), my chickens (too many to list all their names), and gardening on my little farm.
Hi, my name is Cynthia Schmidt and I am a Speech-Language Pathologist. I have my Bachelor of Arts degree in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Fullerton and my Master of Science degree in Communicative Disorders from California State University, Northridge. I have worked in many settings, including public schools, home based therapy, and outpatient clinics. I love the field of speech-language pathology and feel blessed to work with children.
My name is Allison Heitzinger.
I am a mama to 4 littles and an Occupational and Feeding Therapist. I received a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Seattle University in 2011 and my Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from A.T. Still University in 2014. I have been in private practice working alongside families in Arizona ever since. I enjoy the opportunity to come alongside families and help their children reach their full potential through building their confidence, skills, knowledge, and functional capabilities. When I am not in the clinic I am joyfully in the trenches of motherhood and love to bake, play games, garden, hike, run, and try new adventures.
Hi, my name is Lora Stolz,
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant. I graduated from Northern Arizona University with a BS in elementary education. I was an elementary teacher for 8 years in Northwestern Arizona and then I was a stay at home mom for 11 years. I went back to school to become an SLPA in 2013 at Estrella Mountain Community College and worked one year as that in a school setting, then taught 3rd grade last year at Imagine Rosefield. I found a love for speech therapy when my younger son needed early intervention and speech from ages 2-5.
Hi, my name is Hannah and I am a Physical Therapist Assistant. Ever since I was little I’ve always wanted to work in the healthcare field. I also have a passion for working with children. I found my passion in Physical Therapy almost 4 years ago in a pediatric clinic. I was fortunate enough to get into a wonderful college, Pima Medical Institute, in 2017 and began my journey. I also have a deep love for the Theatre and enjoy singing and dancing in my spare time. I am hoping to incorporate singing and dancing with my treatments. I love working with kids to help them work towards their goals, so they can have the most fulfilling life possible!
Hi, I’m Ms. Jenna.
SLPA since 2019.
It’s not every person who discovers what they want to be when they grow up in their 40’s. But it sure was me! Helping children communicate their wants, needs and feelings gives me joy every day.
After years in Sales management and more years as a mom, I found my calling. Going back to school in your 40’s is no joke. It was worth every moment. I love my work and helping the families at Sonoran sun
My name is Rachel Perez.
I am happy to say I am the Patient Care Coordinator here at Sonoran Sun Pediatric Therapy. I was born in Pennsylvania, my family moved to Arizona when I was just 3 years old. I am married, with 2 daughters and 2 sons, as well as 2 grandbabies. I love to work with children. I worked in a developmental preschool for 10 years before joining the Sonoran Sun team. I enjoy spending time with my family, whether it’s a summer trip or just having dinner together.
Hi! My name is Kendall Lohman,
I am the Speech-Language Pathologist here at Sonoran Sun. I received my Master of Science in Clinical Speech-Language Pathology from Northern Arizona University. I previously worked as an SLPA while working throughout graduate school. I have worked in many different settings including community based, clinics, home based therapy, and in the schools. My passion is working with Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) and I have had the pleasure to be able to learn so much about it here at Sonoran Sun. Although I love AAC, I love being able to work with many different therapies. I have always wanted to make a positive difference in other’s lives with the most basic skill everyone deserves to have, communication. Everyone deserves a voice and what better way than to work in the field of Speech-Language Pathology. In my free time, I love to workout at the gym, reading, thrifting, gardening and getting to spend time with my fiancé and travel to new places with him.
Hi, my name is Caitlin Hansen,

Hi, my name is Breanna,
I’m from Wisconsin and graduated from Madison College. I’ve been living in the Phoenix area since 2021. I feel lucky to work with such wonderful kids and help them find the tools and skills they need to connect with what matters to them and their families. I’m here to support both the kids and their families, and I like to think of us as a team! The best part of my job is seeing the children grow and make progress, even in small ways. Before joining Sonoran Sun Pediatric Therapy, I worked in schools for three years, which I really enjoyed, but I love the clinic setting even more. In my spare time, I like to hike with my dog Ollie, watch sports, read, do crafts, and bake! You might see Ollie at the clinic—he’s my certified therapy dog, and he loves to help and spend time with the kids!
Hi, my name is Ollie,
I am a therapy dog at Sonoran Sun. I really enjoy hanging out with the kids and making them smile. This place makes me super happy! I love giving kisses, but I only do that when I know my friends are comfortable with it. Some of my favorite activities are hiking with my mom, going to the dog park, playing tug of war, getting treats, and chewing on my bones. I’m excited to meet new friends!
